Blogging for SEO or Money?

There are two reasons to blog for business promotion. Which reason do you blog?

1) To build SEO (search engine optimization) ranking. Key word rich wording.

2) Telling a great story so that readers will share your message. These are fun, interesting stories told in such a way that people become interested in you and not just your product or service

Unfortunately, most social media people are teaching businesses to blog with key words in mind and not really good  , fun content that is easily shared. They focus to much on old school SEO web stuff and not enough on cutting edge social media strategies. When working with your strategist, Be sure to ask the right questions.

What are you living for?

Another question to ask is, why does my business live? Do you have the answers? Who does your life or your business benefit? Why is it that so many people spend so much time worrying about after life or after their business closes?

Well, the fact is, there is an end to everything so just accept that and decide to live in the moment. You are here now so love it, feel it, be it. Your  business is here now so simply make space and allow it to thrive. Stay in the moments of life without concern for what is way out in the future. Now is the time, this is the place, we are the people.

Do you over think things?

All to often we, as a society of business people, tend to over think things and therefore under deliver those things. Why is that? Shouldn’t we just put our best foot forward in the moment and then just SHIP IT out? So many people, you know who you are, just won’t take that leap without everything being just perfect. Is it ever? I wonder if there is a relationship between people SHIPPING before attaining perfection and market penetration versus waiting to get it perfect and never getting (or to late) to market? Hmmmmm! Bet there is!

Growing Community

In this  fast changing world we find ourselves living in, the need to belong somewhere is growing. Hence the need to develop and redefine community. Traditionally the word stood for the place in which you geographically lived, today it stands for your environment/place you find yourself . This new community place has tremendous relevance to who you are and who you become. Today community is on a micro environmental level. We create community socially, spiritually, physically, interest based , etc. through many forms of media today. The latest and fastest growing is the internet. This tool has radically changed how we view community and association. Think back to childhood and remember what the word community meant. Maybe you are like me and remember the word associated with your town or subdivision, now it stands for everywhere you put your attention. Your community can be very complex or very simple, it just depends on you.

What do you want your future community to look like? Through the tools of social media you can populate your community any way you want. Is yours fulfilling?

How hard are you trying?

The world is changing so fast that to keep up we must be willing to really push ourselves. This includes personal development, business development, social media strategy development, and some form of spiritual growth. With all of this pressure, are you pushing yourself enough? When is the last time you really challenged a deep seated belief that you’ve had for a long time? What did you determine as a result?

If you will challenge yourself more, you will find that a lot of things that are so deeply rooted in your mind are just not true. Challenge them! Yes, it is not easy, but who said anything about life being easy. What are you waiting for? More brains, more money, more happiness? What?

Here are the next  logical steps to see if we can work together:

1) Call us or email us to set up an appointment. This review meeting will last approximately 1 hour.

2) At that point, we will give you some options as to how to reach your objectives.

We have a 7 step process that we normally use and is as follows

1) evaluation – in depth look at your team, vision, mission, organic marketing tic tac toe review, etc.

2) strategy – develop a strategy based on the evaluation and objectives.

3) funnel – create the logical steps to develop client conversions from your website

4) building – we build the team blog

5) automation – create the pathways to send posts to social media sites

6) implementation – train the team, implement plan and adjust

7) monitor – monitor progress and continue to make suggestions and updates

Beyond the big three?

If you were to answer  the question, what other social media sites do you think are important, what would you say?

Plurk? Bebo? Plaxo? Buzzflash? SmugMug? Hi5?  Well, which ones?

In the social media space, there are a lot of options. It is important to gain a really good grasp of the main three before venturing out to far. However, it is probably a good idea to explore what is out there though. There is still so much room for growth.

Before venturing to far beyond Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, you should really spend the time digging deep on each of these sights. Facebook is the most diverse and has the greatest number of places to inport your blog(5 – 7). LinkedIn is the deepest business information site with amazing amounts of connectedness. Twitter is by far the broadest reaching site and is a marketers dream (please don’t use this new tool in an old way).

So whats next? FFFFound?

New Mastermind Groups forming!

     
  We had a great time on April 1st, Celebrating Spring and having a pretty cool party.  Fun, friends, laughter, and networking. Who could ask for more? This is a fun community of people who are growing business like crazy, having a great time, and moving exhuberently into the future!

A bit of business here: We have many opportunities coming up to join our mastermind groups, so I wanted to pass this note to you- please also pass to a friend if you know of someone who might be an InSights fit. We have a calendar full of extra events (more being added every day) that feature classes, training and connecting. Let’s get people even more involved!

Social Media Tip of the Week

Be sure when ever possible to capture the same username on each social media site. This helps with consistency in your Persona Branding online. Also, in the near future, you will be searched within the social media world through your username. If you name is fairly common, be creative with choosing a username that will be unique to you, staying as consistent throughout the various sites as possible.

You can try this on many of the sites, check for allancurtis or sandimaki and see what we are talking about.
