With a Design Philosophy of Water as Art, Legendary Escapes Swimming Pools have become an art form. The pools that are designed and built by Legendary Escapes Pool Scapes LLC offer homeowners a place to escape from reality. Our art incorporates elements into an environment that helps to enrich a customer’s world.
Each project of translating water into art is an evolving and creative process. It is creating art out of what was once sold purely as a product. Art is harmony, building something tangible.
The social media presence that the InSights Group helped Legendary Escapes put together resulted in a very successful year when others in the area in the industry saw reduced numbers, the growth that Legendary was able to achieve was memorable.

The Insights Group has provided moral support, innovative ideas, and the necessary element of community to my entrepreneurial endeavors since I graduated this past September. I cannot begin to explain how much my friendship with the co-owners, Sandi Maki and Al Curtis, means to me. The support I have received from the Insights community as a whole has been indispensable to making the project happen. “

Hello. I am Betsy Rackliffe, the smiling eclectic designer of openDesign, an interior design firm I am a friend, a professional, and an admirer of art. I am a life-partner, a home maker, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, and a granddaughter. I am a hiker, a backpacker, a kayaker, and bike rider.
My life has been filled with experiences that have shaped me. I have been to Europe where I hiked in the Alps, went up the Leaning Tower of Pisa and sat with my legs dangling over the edge, saw David in Florence and Il Palio in Seina, feed the pigeons in Venice, and explored Vienna and its Session Movement. I climbed to the top of St. Helen and looked over the edge into the crater, hiked to the base camp on Mt. Reiner, and backpacked the 45 miles of Pictured Rock on the coast of Lake Superior.
I enjoy the challenges and rewards of the road less traveled – not being able to copy someone else, but finding my own way, constructing new methods, and spreading my wings to see how far I can fly.
I am more than a designer: it is just a part of me.
Dr. Tom Hill: My primary focus in life is to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I do this by focusing on three areas: Coaching, writing (books, articles and news-letters ) and public speaking. My coaching is directed at those who have reached a plateau in life and now are ready to move to another level. I help them find their passions and bring them to life.

Dr. Gary Arnold, DDS serving patients with integrity, clarity and compassion seeks to offer dental and health services of excellence and long lasting value. His new blogging and persona branding strategy will reach his target audience and create an increase in loyalty of existing patients.
The team is beginning to blog with regularity, updating their social media sites. In the site’s first week live, Dr. Arnold received a new patient inquiry from a con-tact 30 miles away who was interested in the services that were provided based on a blog post she read. Another family booked an appointment for their young son a matter of hours after fining out about Dr. Arnold via Facebook.

A Partnership Approach is the Root of Local Dentist’s Practice
At the intersection of cutting edge dental technology and a holistic approach to health care, one Sterling Heights dentist is finding solid footing for his growing practice. Patient visits involve state-of-the-art tech like laser decay detection and LED mini-cameras, served up with a human approach that recognizes the link between dental issues and overall health.
“Ideally, our patients want to be active partners in their own health. Dental health is a vital piece to overall wellness,” explains Dr. John Artemenko, DDS. Likening his role to that of a sherpa on the journey to wellness, he continues, “My goal is to be the best guide for the patient’s journey to a healthy mouth.”
Part of that approach involves an active social media presence; Dr. Artemenko often blogs about dental health. He stays in touch with patients and their families via Facebook, and even Twitters about new ideas and methodology in the dental industry.
This approach to “patient centered technology” means better communication, less discomfort and often less invasive procedures for his patients. For example, new computer designed milling of crowns and inlays means that patients can be scanned and fit with their new dental fixtures in the same visit, instead of waiting days or even weeks for traditional crowns to be built offsite.
Likewise, Dr. Artemenko’s office now uses a digital x-ray procedure that reduces radiation exposure by up to 90% over traditional methods. “We see these new technologies being made available, and we are always among the first to adopt them. The implications for a patient’s health are huge,” explains Dr. Artemenko.
Explaining the link between oral health and other issues, Dr. Artemenko points out that cardiac disease, diabetes, and other chronic issues often manifest as unhealthy gums. Even some common medications can needlessly aggravate mouth issues. Helping patients to understand this can be rewarding work. He will often work with a patient’s primary care physician to suggest treatment alternatives and approaches that can improve not just their dental health, but their general well-being.
At seminars, training and classes, Dr. Artemenko works hard to stay on top of what’s new, and create new ways to integrate it into his practice. Truly knowing the science behind the methodology used, he has a leg up over many in his field. “I look to the science behind the product or method,” says Dr. Artemenko. For example, while there are many bleaching products available on the market, he uses the only one that is accepted by the American Dental Association (ADA) for safety and effectiveness.
