I’ve got a poster in my classroom that says, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” but I like this quote even more-especially considering the state of the world’s economy, and the suffering of so many people because of war, terrorism, famine, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, fires, epidemics, and other disasters. I want to believe, like Anne Frank, that people are basically good-but we must all do everything we can to demonstrate that, every possible way that we can if we really hope to have a noticeable impact on all the evil, misery, and unrest in the world.
