If social media is a party, your website is your online house

When we describe to us the social media party, we talk about your online house. All roads within your social media marketing efforts need to lead to your house. Your house is your website, your house is your blog, or your house is some other landing page, where people can find out how they can do business with you, what it is that you actually do, what are the services you provide, what are the products you provide, and how they can they reach you to do business with you?

There are a few things that you will definitely need to keep in mind when it comes to your online house. It needs to be something that draws people’s attention. Online you have very few moments to capture someone’s attention. We live in a really busy world, and this busy world online keeps us moving rapidly, so your house needs to be something that gets people engaged in your website, keeps you there, something that’s interesting, something that’s genuine, something that’s real.

What does your house look like online? Fun and interesting? Easy to navigate? Simple and easy to understand?
