We live in a world today where social media is a big buzz word. Please understand that social media is simply a business marketing tool. This tool is no different than a pencil or a pen. Before you pick up a pen to write, it is a good idea to know what you are writing about or at least who you are writing to. Social media is the same in this regard. Be aware of who your audience is right when you get started. Just because you create a facebook profile, it doesn’t mean that you now deserve to get business from it. As with the pen, just because you write something, that doesn’t entitle you to a 7 figure book deal! You earn it by using the tool in such a way that people find your message valuable. This tool is extremely powerful but should never be used in the same way that older marketing tools have been used. Keep an open mind and remember that Social media is not about selling but rather about CONVERSATION.
