SM 100 – Social Media Coaching Program
Online Coaching with the InSights Group
We have an awesome self study training program for social media. The businesses and individuals we have enrolled are absolutely raving about it.
What we have done is broken down social media training into weekly lessons that are emailed to you. Each lesson has a welcome, the lesson which comes in audio, video, sometimes written, and with tutorial type examples. Then there are action items for you to complete and accountability items. This system is proving very effective to help people get their efforts focused. We (InSights Group) use social media all day every day. It’s a bit overwhelming at times for people who have full time day jobs- or full time businesses to figure out how to maximize time and results. This system helps to simplify the process.
You can expect to spend about an hour a week on the lesson and to do items – this is focused time vs. trying to find out what you need to know – learn it, and then take action. We’ve made it simple.
It’s a great place to start building a foundation for the rest of your marketing efforts. Let us know if you’d like to get started right away!
As a successful business owner or entrepreneur, you deserve the personal attention and expert training advice that will help you move your marketing efforts forward. Our goal is to provide individualized, expert coaching that helps you achieve your goals whether they are new client acquisition, an increase in bottom line revenue, or recognition in your local community.
Weekly Self Study Coaching Lessons {SM 100}
With our weekly self study online coaching program, you receive an email once a week with an introduction to a new concept, online tutorial that can come in written, audio, video or recorded lesson format, an action item or two for your to complete, and email follow up for your questions. You also have ongoing online access to a resource room full of on demand training information.
Your Part
This is the important part. Online coaching is a two-way street. Just as we provide the training plan, we expect you to provide the feedback that will allow us to help you best. Throughout the program, we expect (and rely upon) consistent feedback.
Let us know the results of each training session, action items that you have completed, and questions you may have. This allows us to make any necessary adjustments to the trainings we provide, based on what you need. Each dental practice we work with is unique, and you are able to handle each of the stages of social media at your own pace. Our program is modified continually based on your feedback and with the results of each training so it is your responsibility to keep us updated on how the training is going.
Unlike other coaching programs, we don’t limit the number of phone calls or e-mails from our clients. We wholeheartedly welcome and encourage your feedback as often as necessary, especially in the early part of the training schedule. Ask all your questions. Let us know how things are going – both for you and your team. We rely on your feedback to keep your program on the fast track to success.

How soon will I see my post on the social media sites with automation?
Keep in mind with the automation, there is usually a time delay between when the post is made and when it shows up on the various sites. They usually sweep (and you can control this in settings of each control panel) in 1-2 hour increments, so if you post one minute after the sweep, it will be an hour or so before the post automates through. On the other end, if you post at minute 59 of a 1 hour cycle, it will post within the next few minutes.
2 things to keep in mind with Facebook
Are you 100% a facebook virgin? Well, maybe you’ve peeked over your child’s/spouse’s/best friend’s shoulder once, but it was latin to you and you didn’t pay attention. But now, you need to.
The two most important thoughts to have when beginning your journey; Take it slow, and don’t think of it like another chore that you have to just get done.
Don’t be afraid. You don’t need to learn everything all at once. You don’t need to comment on every of your 300 friends’ or fans’ (all those you gained all in the first day) statuses and pictures and quiz results. Take a step back, let it flow. Like any new hobby or routine in your life, take things in steps. You didn’t learn that the integral of 2x^5 + 7x^3 – 4x was 10x^4 + 21x^2 – 4 without first learning that 5×2 =10 and 5-1=4. Did you? J
Also, it’s easy to perceive “Facebook” as something to work toward when really, it’s not just a billboard sign, once up, stays up. Facebook exists long after you make it, but it’s up to you to keep it fresh. This medium has the ability to grow with you and your customers or friends. If you can figure out how to see it as possibility and enjoy its potential instead of as a chore, you’ll be able to value it and not put it off. Half-heartedly doing it, or neglecting it, then binging for 5 hours is not as effective as 15 minutes a day to check out what others are doing, comment, and update your actions to keep you fresh in one’s mind.
Yes you may be doing this to further yourself or business, but remember to have fun with it! Actions done in the right spirit can’t help but result with the desired effects.

Specialized social media strategies
Specialized social media strategies are currently in development from the InSights Group, and industry specific updates are pending for the legal profession and dental offices. So many people are using social media, businesses that have used traditional methods in the past are recognizing the power. In the last Boot Camp held at the InSights Group there were many representatives from dental offices, and dental consulting firms from around the US. There are so many great ideas for how a dentist and staff can have a strong social media presence. The notes from class are being compiled into a resource guide, and advanced strategies are being developed!
We’ve also recently consulted with several offices in the legal professional world. There are even more strategies for connecting with people via social media than we could discuss in a two day seminar. Watch for specific updates coming your way. Who have you recently noticed that seems to have some new strategy behind their posts?
Having a social media account is not the same as having a social media strategy.
How can we help you develop yours?
How many hours a week would I need to spend…
to keep my business Facebook and Twitter site up and fresh?
I would try to touch each of these sites at least daily, if not several times a day. You want to start with blogging, which can automatically update each of the sites.
Check in with your profile. Update events that you will be attending. Share thoughts of things that you have done today. You can update via your cell phone while you are out and on the road.
The best part of social media is that you can decide when to check in and which sites. The rest can be working for you even when you are not there. What time of day and day of the week should you be most active? It depends on who your audience is, and who needs to see your updates. Let us know if we can help you strategize on what will be best for you, and how much time you should be spending on social media.
Walk your way around Facebook
1. The Facebook button will bring you from wherever you are on facebook back to this (your home) page.
2. Do you have people who’ve asked to be your friend but you haven’t responded? Clicking this button will give you a quick look at those. If there is a red box in the right upper corner with a number, it means new people have asked to be your friends.
3. Facebook has it’s own form of email. Click this talk box to see what emails people have sent you. If the message is shaded, you have not read it yet. If there is a red box with a number in the upper right corner of the icon, you have new messages.
4. The globe signifies your notifications. Did someone comment on a photo you were in? Tag you in a status? Like your post? You can what and who here, then click on the info to go to the page of action.
5. This “Home” button shares the same function of The “Facebook” button. It just depends on which general direction your mouse is in, when you want to go home, as to which one you should pick.
6. This one is obvious, to see your profile picture, your information and your wall, click the “Profile” button.
7. Need to change your privacy, facebook settings or logout? Click here to manage your “Account”
8. Type a new status here, or enter a link, photo, video or event to share. (also can be accessed from your profile page)
9. This is the clip of your profile picture that shows up next to comments you post on photos or walls.
10. Create an event or manage your events, both locations.
11. Facebook likes being helpful and will take a look at people who are friends with people you know and will ask you if you might know them.
12. Not only is Facebook a form of email, it can also be used as a chat like AOL. In the picture I’m offline, as everything is grey. But click on the button to go online, and you’ll see those who are on, they have green circles by their names. Double click to open a chat window and communicate!
13. Create a group. Got a common set of people? Invite them to a party where you can share pictures links and videos. Make it public or private.
Hope this helps you navigate the winding paths of Facebook!

Q & A with Katie: Retweet (say that 5 times fast…:)
Who and what is a ‘retweet’? So-and-so just ‘retweeted’ this message. Why? How? What does that mean? Here’s a bit of info…
1. How do you know a retweet?
When you see “
“ before the tweet, that has been a retweet. After the icon you also see who tweeted the original message.
2. Why retweet?
If someone’s message out there is something you like, and you find neat or inspirational, it fits your thoughts or it’s worth spreading, you do the genial thing, and pass it on. You retweet it. (If it’s cool enough, it can get retweeted and reretweeted until all of Twitter knows!)
3. How do I retweet?
Under a person’s tweet, on the right there are two buttons. ‘Reply’ and ‘Retweet’. Click ‘Retweet’ and click ‘yes’.
4.What are the implications of retweeting?
If you tweet something, all your followers get it. If one of them retweets it, all of their followers get it…and so on, if the message is good enough.
Have fun, tweet and retweet with style!
